Weekend Getaway

The three of us escaped for a weekend away in Squamish.  We spent time hiking (albeit at a pace only slightly faster than that of the slugs we saw), playing in puddles, swimming, shopping at the farmer's market, checking out Shannon Falls, and picnicing.  Here a few photos of our adventures:

Our veggie garden.  The lettuces are thriving, but they had a headstart!  The others were planted from seeds.  We'll be sure to post an updated photo as things grow.

Other edibles - cherry tomatos and strawberries in the hanging baskets, blueberry bush, peppers and herbs in the pots and planter box.

Our trip to Mexico

The three of us have just returned home from a wonderful week of sunshine, sand and swimming in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  Matthew had a great time on the airplane, playing on the beach and in the pool, feeding the fish and watching the iguanas at the resort, meeting new people and practising his Spanish.  Here are a few photos and videos of our adventures:
